Meet our CLT group- the local people in need of affordable homes.

We’re a group of over 18 adults and 6 children, so 24 ordinary people from the village, with jobs and families here, who are unable to get on the housing ladder because of high house prices in the South Hams. We want to create affordable homes for our village and a sense of community as we go along.

Our group, who are all in need of affordable homes, are aged between: 50’s 1 adult, 40’s 6 adults, in 30’s 4 adults, In 20’s 7 adults, Children under 5’s 2, Primary age 1, Secondary age 3 and are single adults, couples, parents and children. We have carers in our group, many self-employed people and we all rent locally, so know all about affordable housing needs!

We’re very involved in village life, we work in key jobs in the village that are part of our community, like the shop, pre-school and pub, come from families that have lived here for generations (over 150 yrs) or help behind the scenes in village activities, that keep our village alive.
